Heidi creates an environment at Bodhi that balances high-level technical coaching with genuine support for every athlete. Bodhi’s culture is hardworking and competitive, and Heidi develops disciplined, driven players who are also great teammates and great people. I reflect on my time learning from Heidi with deep gratitude and am proud to have represented Bodhi Beach Volleyball. Some of my best memories come from practices where I was pushed on the court while still having so much fun and laughter, as well as from coaching younger Bodhi athletes during summer tournaments. I am incredibly thankful to Heidi for helping shape me into the athlete and person I am today and for the long lasting relationships I have made through Bodhi Beach Volleyball.

Heidi’s  coaching style has always been so easy to learn and have fun with. She always brought her warm smile to the court while always giving thoughtful feedback. I was so lucky to learn and grow with her.

Before  Heidi started Bodhi Beach in Marin County, I drove 2.5 hours to Sacramento to practice and train with her.  That alone speaks to what a special and incredible coach she is.  Her experience and coaching style is unmatched. Heidi coaches the whole player and the whole person. Each player in her club has unique strengths and weaknesses ON and OFF the court and she invests in each one! Every practice is organized and has very specific purpose and intention.  Her feedback is immediate, taking the time to pull you aside to fully have your attention to understand.  Bodhi was the beach family and community that  allowed me to flourish, become a college player, a coach, and a true leader which I never really saw myself as before playing at Bodhi. I’m so grateful to her and love her so much!
